Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a responsible, motivated, and proficient Highway and Bridge Maintenance Laborer with good ethics and a great attitude. This person will be responsible for performing highway maintenance labor work, including traffic control set-ups, bridge maintenance and cleaning, and tree brush removal.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform diverse highway maintenance tasks, including bridge cleaning, maintenance, tree cutting, and vegetation removal.
• Conduct equipment inspections for pre- and post-trips.
• Set up and tear down temporary traffic control measures daily.
• Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines.
• Drive company vehicles.
• Use all equipment and tools safely.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 5 years of clean driving record.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Certification (company provided if not currently certified).
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to drive a box truck or equivalent.
• Comfortable working from various heights.
• Willingness to travel away from home for up to 1-2 weeks in DE, NJ, NY, PA, and VA (hotel expenses paid by the company).

Pay rate: $18-20/hour
