Job summary

The Tulalip Tribes Higher Education Specialist works with existing tribal and local programs year-round to support higher education. Plan, coordinate, and implement higher education community events. Maintain a file on each student and contact new students regularly to ensure the student’s academic success.

Provide culturally sensitive programming for Native adults pursuing high school completion, vocational education, college and running start.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in customer service.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience creating and distributing project reports.

DEPARTMENT: Higher Education

JOB SUMMARY: The Higher Education Specialist works with existing tribal and other local programs year around to support higher education. Plan, coordinate, and implement higher education community events. Maintain a file on each student and contact new students regularly to ensure the student’s academic success. Provide culturally sensitive programming for Native adults pursuing high school completion, vocational education, college and running start.

COMPENSATION: $23.25 hr.

Minimum Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum Related Experience

• One (1) year of experience in customer service.
• One (1) year of experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.
• One (1) year of developing spreadsheets and utilizing accounting software.
• One (1) year of preparing and distributing project reports.

Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites

• WA State Driver’s License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
• Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation (Abstract Required)
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
