Job summary

CLA, a top 10 national professional services firm, seeks an Audit Director/Audit Manager for its Higher Education practice in Texas. This role leads audits, builds client relationships, and drives financial reporting excellence essential to strategic growth.

You will mentor staff, manage engagements, and ensure adherence to professional standards while delivering insightful results for client institutions and CLA. Strong leadership and CPA are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis on financial statement preparation and audits.
• Experience leading teams on Higher Education audits is strongly preferred.
• CPA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with major clients in higher education.
• Lead audit engagements, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate staffing, budgets, and deadlines for each engagement.
• Mentor staff and oversee engagement teams.
• Communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the engagement principal.
