Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Director/Manager to join our Higher Education practice in Texas. You will manage and develop relationships with great clients and help them meet audit and financial objectives using a range of tools.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, at least 6 years in public accounting with higher education audits, and CPA licensure. You will mentor staff and lead engagement teams while monitoring budgets and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits.
• Experience leading teams of high performing people and managing Higher Education audits strongly preferred
• CPA license certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to positively impact their community.
• Assist clients with meeting audit and financial planning objectives by using a range of tools.
• Be creative with staff development, mentoring, and overseeing client engagement teams.
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines; communicate developments and recommendations.
