CLA is hiring an Audit Director or Manager to join our North Carolina Higher Education Assurance team. This in-office role can be based in Winston-Salem, Charlotte, or Raleigh and will serve higher education clients across state colleges, universities, and related entities.

The role emphasizes planning, staffing, and leading assurance engagements, with a focus on delivering value to clients and developing a trained, accountable team in a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.

Responsibilities

• Plan the timing, staffing, and execution of assurance engagements for higher education clients.
• Supervise engagements and manage engagement progress and budgets.
• Develop and mentor staff, provide direct consultation, and contribute to professional development.
