Job summary

JMT Architecture in Maryland is seeking an Architecture Higher Education Leader to guide and grow our university-focused practice. The role requires a licensed architect with strong design leadership, business development, and team-building skills, overseeing projects from $10M to $50M.

This senior leader will mentor staff, cultivate client relationships, and collaborate with Clark Nexsen Higher Ed leadership to expand the regional market share and deliver innovative, sustainable design.

Qualifications

Architectural license (NCARB preferred) with 18+ years in higher education design.
Licenses beyond Maryland (Southeast / Mid-Atlantic) preferred.
LEED AP Accreditation and SCUP Membership.
Proven business development skills with a track record of securing projects and clients.
Design and graphic modelling expertise (Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite).
Experience managing large-scale projects ($10M-$50M) from concept to completion.

Expand Maryland presence by pursuing new client opportunities and cultivating relationships for growth.
Lead and mentor a team of architects, guiding design excellence and professional development.
Oversee large-scale projects ($10M-$50M) from concept to completion with quality and compliance.

Ensure projects meet budget, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
