Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time hourly Pastry Chef at New York Marriott Marquis in New York, NY. The role requires morning shifts, weekend and holiday availability, and prior high-volume pastry production experience.

You will supervise daily pastry production, follow recipes, manage costs, maintain food safety, and assist with inventory and ordering to deliver top-quality pastries and desserts.

Qualifications

• Previous high-volume pastry production experience required.
• Morning shift with weekend and holiday availability.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control and costs.
• Commitment to food safety and kitchen sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods.
• Ensures recipes, standards, and food costs are followed and quantities meet production needs.
• Maintains proper food handling, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Monitors sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment to meet regulations.
• Assists with production planning, inventory management and stock rotation.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies.
• Creates and executes daily production of top-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods.
