Job summary

Hiland Dairy Foods Company is seeking a Hand Packer in Conroe, TX. This full-time, manual labor role involves ensuring a quality product is produced, packaged, and prepared for delivery to customers, with responsibilities spanning bottle handling, inspection, and packaging.

You will also support changeovers, equipment prep for next runs, and strict sanitation. Candidates should be capable of reading, writing, basic math, and recording data, with overtime and shift flexibility expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.

Responsibilities

• Load and debag bottles as needed to support production.
• Visually inspect bottles placed on the line for production and remove damaged bottles.
• Bag all bottles not used for production and move them to storage as required.
• Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of the product.
• Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
• Assist in performing changeovers safely and efficiently.
• Assist in preparing equipment for the next run to include size changes as needed.
• Ensure proper code dates and monitor inkjet printers.
• Complete the cleaning checklist and assist in performing sanitation of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
