Job summary

Waev Inc. is an electric mobility OEM headquartered in Anaheim, CA, seeking a Buyer to support manufacturing operations. This fast-paced, high-volume role requires managing multiple POs, parts, and suppliers with urgency and precision.

You will negotiate pricing, timelines, and supplier terms, resolve shortages, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Inventory to keep production on schedule. Strong ERP/MRP experience and a results-driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, buying, or relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience managing a high volume of parts, POs, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and purchasing processes.
• Experience with supplier negotiations, materials planning, or sourcing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchase parts, materials, and components to support daily manufacturing and production needs, including creating and managing multiple POs daily.
• Manage a high volume of parts, suppliers, and open orders while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively follow up on orders, lead times, and deliveries to keep materials moving.
• Identify and resolve shortages, delays, and supply issues quickly to minimize impact to production.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Inventory, and other teams to prioritize material needs and support production schedules.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and other supplier requirements, while confidently pushing back when necessary.
• Source new suppliers and alternative materials as needed; obtain and evaluate quotes based on cost, quality, availability, and lead time.
• Identify and support cost savings and supplier improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information within the ERP/MRP system and resolve PO, pricing, quantity, delivery, and invoice discrepancies.
• Build strong vendor relationships while maintaining accountability, urgency, and follow-through.
