Qualifications

• Valid Health Department Food Handler Certification.
• Knowledge of high-volume kitchen operations.
• Ability to inspect food spoilage and proper rotation.
• Kitchen sanitation prep work.
• Expediting knowledge.
• Skills with all kitchen equipment and safety rules.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and plate presentation.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize preparation of food items.
• Prepare food according to standardized recipes.
• Ensure proper size and weight of food portions.
• Coordinate food preparation with other kitchen staff.
• Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control during shift.
• Prepare plate presentation per standard recipes.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and walk-in cooler.
• Keep kitchen area and grill/ovens clean and safe.
• Ensure proper rotation of all food items and lift up to 180 lbs.
• Perform opening and closing duties and sanitation checks.
