Job summary

Universal Health Services in Edinburg, TX seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Orthopedic Surgeon to join a private practice with an immediate, high-volume patient base in the Rio Grande Valley.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS)
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency; fellowship preferred but not required for a generalist role
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility; Spanish skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic care—including general orthopedics, trauma, fracture management, and joint reconstruction—across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings
• Partner effectively with a skilled team of physicians, APPs, and robust administrative support staff
• Option to participate in the shared call schedule to ensure seamless, continuous patient care

Education

ABOS certification or eligibility

Orthopedic Surgery residency completed

Texas medical license active or eligible

Spanish language skills beneficial
