Job summary

Bern’s Steak House in Tampa is seeking a detail‑oriented candidate to join our high‑volume fine dining team as a Server Trainee. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience with food, wine and spirits in a historic, prize‑winning house that values quality service and teamwork.

You will train to deliver exceptional guest experiences, work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, and grow into a skilled server within a renowned restaurant culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Command of the English language and strong communication skills.
• Professional, well groomed appearance.
• Must have availability during weekends and nights. Possess the ability to work flexible shifts and schedules including weekends and some holidays.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. multiple times during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a high volume fast-paced environment.
• Ability to seamlessly transition from working independently to contributing as a member of a team while delivering exceptional customer service to provide every guest with a lasting and memorable experience.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with a focus on the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
