Bern’s Steak House in Tampa, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Server Trainee to join a strong, energetic team. This hands-on role offers a path to learn wine, food, and service in a high-volume fine-dining setting.

You will develop customer service skills, work at weekends and evenings, and grow through a structured program that rewards hard work and dedication. No prior experience required; training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Command of the English language and strong communication skills.
• Professional, well groomed appearance.
• Must have availability during weekends and nights. Possess the ability to work flexible shifts and schedules including weekends and some holidays.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. multiple times during a shift.
• Use of hands required 100% of the time.
• Stand, walk, bend and lift throughout a 6-10 hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a high volume fast-paced environment.
• Ability to seamlessly transition from working independently to contributing as a member of a team while delivering exceptional customer service to provide every guest with a lasting and memorable experience.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with a focus on the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
