Job summary

Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee is seeking a Cook to prepare quality meals for residents, guests and staff in a high-volume dining setting. Walk-in interviews are welcomed from 9am to 11am, with flexible hours and competitive wages.

The role requires a HS diploma, ServSafe certification, and 3+ years of culinary experience; familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus. Join a not-for-profit community dedicated to serving older adults and special needs individuals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• ServSafe certification required or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 3+ years culinary experience in a high-volume dining environment.
• Basic math, plus proficiency with MS Office and data entry programs.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; willingness to lead.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations according to established guidelines.
• Prepare all food items in accordance with standardized recipes in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Distributes prepared food to all service areas and restocks items as needed.
• Cleans and maintains station with good safety and sanitation practices.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and organization of equipment.
