Job summary

North American Substation Services (NASS) is seeking a skilled electrical tester to perform advanced testing on transformers and associated equipment. This role involves travel to generation plants across the United States for outages, conducting calibration and functional tests, and maintaining rigorous safety and documentation standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel up to 75% with willingness to work flexible hours,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; electrical maintenance courses desirable.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to crawl, climb, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to pass a fit-for-duty exam.
• Overnight and international travel required; up to 75% travel.
• Flexible hours, overtime, weekends, holidays, and nights.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical testing on power transformers (Doble testing, TTR, winding resistance, insulation resistance).
• Calibrate transformer gauges and accessories (temperature/pressure/level gauges).
• Support reliability testing and maintenance during scheduled outages.
• Travel to generation plants for outage work; document test results per safety standards.
