Job summary

Nexans is seeking a Test Engineer to lead high voltage testing for cable products in our Charleston plant. This role requires technical leadership in the lab, coordination of test activities, and collaboration with customers and project teams to ensure compliance and quality.

Candidate will prepare test plans, issue final reports, and maintain testing equipment, while supporting continuous improvement in lab processes and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical testing within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with high voltage cables and related standards.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for high voltage laboratory testing on assigned cable projects.
• Provide technical leadership within the testing field.
• Lead and supervise the execution of tests and report results.
• Prepare detailed test plans and final reports for orders and R&D projects.
• Coordinate maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.
• Support training and knowledge sharing within the lab team.
• Develop and maintain test procedures and standardized methods.
• Travel globally to customer locations and Nexans facilities as needed.
