Job summary

SpaceXAI’s Memphis-based Ops/Build Engineer will design, build, operate, and maintain electrical infrastructure for AI training campuses. You’ll join a small on-site Transmission & Distribution team in Memphis, with potential travel to other sites, to scale high-capacity power systems to meet compute demand.

You will lead energization planning, testing, and switching, coordinate outages with the utility, and drive safety through NFPA 70/70E compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field.
• 5+ years in substation commissioning, testing, build, or utility operations on high-power HV systems.

Responsibilities

• Take HV assets from ground to load and ensure reliability in operation.
• Own substation energization plan: pre-energization checks, phasing verification, synchronizing checks.
