Job summary

HECO Inc. in Kalamazoo, MI, is seeking a hands-on mechanic to disassemble, inspect, diagnose, repair and test AC and DC motors up to 15,000HP and 13,800V.

You will reassemble to specification and validate performance on our test panels, executing comprehensive testing with megger, low-ohm meters, micrometers, Hi-Pot, surge and bar-to-bar testers while documenting every reading in tablet-based job packets. Qualifications

• Disassemble, inspect, and diagnose AC/DC motors to identify wear and restoration needs.
• Reassemble to spec and validate performance on test panels.
• Perform comprehensive testing using megger, low OHM meters, micrometers, Hi-Pot, surge testers, and bar-to-bar testers.
• Document every reading in tablet-based job packets.
• Follow all customer specifications and requirements.

Your impact
