Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Electronics Test Technician on Long Island to support a growing electronics manufacturer. Candidates should be comfortable reading schematics, using test equipment, and troubleshooting to the component level.

Responsibilities include testing assemblies, diagnosing failures, and documenting results while adhering to ESD, safety, and quality procedures. This role collaborates with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Previous electronics testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and electronic test equipment.
• Component-level troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
• Aerospace/defense electronics experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Test electronic assemblies, components, and completed units.
• Troubleshoot electronic equipment and identify component-level failures.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and test procedures.
• Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and other electronic test equipment.
• Perform functional, electrical, and performance testing.
• Diagnose failures and determine root causes.
• Perform adjustments, modifications, and minor repairs as needed.
• Document test results, failures, and corrective actions.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Follow established testing, quality, ESD, and safety procedures.
