Job summary

HRU Technical Resources is seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Battery Systems Engineer for a long-term on-site role in Madison Heights, MI. You will contribute to Li-ion battery system development for hybrid and electric vehicles, from concept through production, ensuring reliable, high-performance solutions.

The position requires 3+ years in HV battery systems, BMS, or electrified powertrain, with strong modeling, testing, and ISO 26262/ASPICE knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
US Citizenship or Green Card due to ITAR requirements.
3+ years in HV battery systems, battery management systems, or electrified powertrain development.
Proven experience in battery systems development, integration, and validation.
Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, and systems engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and define system requirements for high voltage battery systems in hybrids and EVs.
Design and implement battery management functions to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.
Conduct system modeling and performance analysis to optimize battery operation.
Support verification and validation activities for battery control strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Support all phases from concept to production readiness and documentation.
