Job summary

Jupiter Power is seeking a Renewable Energy Technician for a battery site in the Pyote, Texas area. The role involves construction and maintenance of substations, HV systems, and BESS equipment, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will troubleshoot protections, relay schemes and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and landowners while maintaining inventory and reading electrical schematics. Valid driver's license and HV experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license.
• 4 years' high voltage electrical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics with attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety protocols on site.
• Effective communication with third parties, vendors, and co-workers.
• Good written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic construction and maintenance of substations, transmission, collection system, and battery storage systems.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance with protections and relay schemes.
• Report and coordinate emergency repair of high voltage equipment and BESS systems.
• Establish and maintain high voltage inventory, equipment, tooling, and vehicles.
• LOTO training and proficiency; provide safe on-site operations.
• Interface and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and landowners.
• Read and interpret high voltage electrical schematics and ensure compliance with regulations.
