Orionplacement in California is seeking an experienced attorney to represent clients in trust and probate litigation. You will handle depositions, motions, petitions, and other litigation proceedings, building case strategies with increasing independence.

This role requires active California Bar membership and at least two years of trust and probate litigation exposure, with strong writing, analytical, and client‑facing skills in a hybrid Sacramento environment.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar admission.
• 2+ years of trust and probate litigation experience.
• Experience with California probate and civil court procedures.
• Strong discovery and law and motion experience.
• Deposition experience and demonstrated litigation skills.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage substantive matters.
• JD from ABA-approved law school.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in trust and probate litigation matters in California courts.
• Handle discovery, law and motion practice, petitions, and other litigation proceedings.
• Take depositions and develop case strategies with increasing independence.
• Draft and argue petitions, motions, briefs, and other advocacy materials.
• Prepare for and participate in trials and evidentiary proceedings.
• Analyze estate planning documents and trust administration issues in the context of disputes.
• Communicate directly with sophisticated and high-net-worth clients.
• Work closely with partners and attorneys across the Trusts & Estates practice.
