Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking an HT Extruder Operator for the 2nd shift at our Turners Falls, MA facility. You will set up tubing, semi-pressure and pressure processes on extruder lines and operate multi-head/tandem lines to jacket a wide range of wire and cable products.

The role requires 1-3 years in extrusion or related manufacturing, attention to detail, and ability to work a flexible schedule.

Formación

• 1-3 years experience in extrusion or relevant transferable manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to produce quality product consistently by following standard operating procedures, using judgement and attention to detail.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Position requires moderate physical effort.

Responsabilidades

• Work from shop orders, requisitions, move heavy wire reels, mix components to ensure stability and proper specifications.
• Schedule production, consolidate runs for efficiency to meet time requirements.
• Set ups require placing and adjusting dies and leaders, maintain temperatures, speeds, and cleanliness.
• Operate marking/printing machines and pay-off/take-ups as specified.
• Perform visual/tactile checks and run tests (concentricity, OD/ID, elongation, etc.).
• Monitor operations and adjust water troughs, speeds, feeds to meet quality/quantity targets.
• Detect and report defects; maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
