Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a permanent, full-time Range Instrumentation & Trajectory Tracking Engineer to own the end-to-end optical data pipeline for high-velocity defense systems.

This unique hybrid role demands a hands-on engineer who will deploy, calibrate, and operate multi-camera high-speed optical systems in the field, as well as lead post-flight 3D trajectory reconstruction and data reduction back in the lab.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cinematographer or similar role.
• Familiarity with high-speed cinematography, long lens operation, and cinema drones (FAA Part 107).
• Familiarity with bespoke long range video transmission solutions.
• Strong ability to coordinate with teams and manage time effectively.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability.
• Hands-on approach with fieldwork across diverse environments.
• Ability to travel as required by the job.
• US Person due to access to export controlled information.
• Subject to pre-employment and randomized substance screening.

Responsibilities

• Support Flight test engineers with system-level T&E of hardware and software.
• Video capture of product tests using high-speed cameras and drones.
• Develop capture plans aligned with exercise goals and marketing needs.
• Develop ground, air, and sea capture solutions for repeatable results.
• Maintain and manage camera gear and related equipment.
• Collaborate with T&E and engineering to discuss results and data observations.
• Work safely per established procedures.
