Job summary

PKC Group seeks a manufacturing operator in Traverse City, MI to support fast-paced production lines. You will load materials, inspect parts, and record data in the ERP system while ensuring quality and safety standards are followed.

The role requires basic computer skills, high school education, and the ability to multitask in a manufacturing setting. Prior experience with high-speed presses is a plus, and work is on-site in a warehouse/office environment.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and performs basic math to maintain accurate records.
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience with computer operation in a Windows-like environment.
• Basic arithmetic and data-entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety rules and housekeeping procedures.
• Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Load and feed raw material, visually inspect parts, and attach finished product to take-up; start process.
• Disassemble and inspect tooling; re-assemble and test for proper operation.
• Document production data in ERP and verify reel tags for BOM/TD Sheet.
• Ensure materials and reels match BOM/TD Sheet specifications; handle scrap disposition.
• Develop familiarity with each product and its quality requirements; identify process issues in payoffs, press, and take-up.
• Package by weight any returned product from subcontractors that was shipped in bulk packaging.
