Lumicity is partnered with a high-growth photonics startup redefining optical transceivers in the Bay Area. This role offers ownership of the technical direction as the company expands and scales its high-speed technology.

We seek a senior engineer with 15+ years in photonic design, proven Mach-Zehnder modulator expertise, experience across the full design lifecycle, and familiarity with 400G per lane and pluggables in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in high-speed photonic design.
• Proven expertise designing photonic modulators, specifically Mach-Zehnder Modulators.
• Experienced through the whole design lifecycle, from concept to mass production.
• Experienced working at high speeds, ideally 400G/lane.
• Knowledge of optical transceivers and pluggables industry.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
