Job summary

Novolex in Stockton, CA is seeking a Packer Feeder to support high-speed packaging lines. The role involves feeding unglued cartons, packing sleeves into cases, inspecting for defects, and completing quality paperwork.

Shifts are 2nd and 3rd, Monday–Friday with Saturdays as needed; 8–12 hour shifts. Starting pay is $22.51 per hour, with weekly pay. Training provided, and safety protocols like LOTO are required.

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 or equivalent education.
  • Ability to add and subtract four-digit numbers.
  • Basic machinery knowledge; may stop machines and clear jams.
  • Ability to read, write & understand basic English.
  • Decision making regarding product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Feeds unglued cartons into high speed gluing machines.
  • Packs sleeves of glued cartons into cases, may bag sleeves or place in packing trays.
  • Inspects cartons for defects and notifies operator or supervisor if defects are found.
  • Completes quality paperwork.
  • Follows LOTO and alternative LOTO procedures.
  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Feeds a maximum of 21 lanes; if catching lines the feeder will feed 18 and catch 1.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervision.
