Job summary

ao-inc is seeking a Transceiver Test Engineer to test, debug, and support the development of high-speed optical transceivers. This role involves verifying optical transceiver performance and reliability as part of the manufacturing operations in Sugar Land, Texas.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Electrical or Optical engineering, be bilingual in Mandarin, and have experience in engineering labs. AOI offers competitive health plans, a generous PTO policy, and relocation packages.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience for Bachelor's degree or 1+ year for Master's degree.
• 3 years of experience in an engineering laboratory environment.
• Experience with optical transceiver communication link testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform design verification and testing of optical transceivers (800G to 1.6Tbps).
• Install and maintain optical transceiver testing equipment.
• Conduct optical transceiver communication link tests in compliance with standards.
• Debug and troubleshoot link failures.
• Develop and revise testing software using LabView/Python.
• Document reports for various qualification tests.
