Job summary

MatX is seeking a hands‑on Lab Manager to oversee its high‑speed electrical and optical test lab in Mountain View. You will maintain equipment, perform precision soldering, manage procurement, and support engineers working on high‑speed interconnects and optical qualification using advanced lab tools.

The role emphasizes lab organization, ECO execution, calibration scheduling, and remote test support for engineers across time zones.

Qualifications

• Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Electronics Technology or related field; hands‑on experience accepted.
• 5+ years in an electronics test lab or hardware prototyping lab.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on hardware support and troubleshooting.
• Perform precision hand soldering/rework on fine‑pitch SMT components.
• Execute ECOs on prototype PCBs and SVKs.
• Conduct board‑level failure analysis using microscopes.
• Manage calibration kits, reference cables, and VNA cabling.
• Provide on‑site and remote test support for lab instruments.
