Job summary

Springfield Public Schools in Springfield, Missouri seeks an Executive Director – High Schools to lead secondary education programs, guide instructional leadership, and drive district-wide improvement aligned with the Learning Division's mission.

Reporting to the Deputy Superintendent of Academics, you will supervise principals, manage budgets, oversee personnel, and collaborate with the Board to advance student achievement.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in job-related area from an accredited college or university, required.
• Doctorate Degree in job-related area from an accredited college or university, preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of recent and relevant leadership experience in education/technology with increasing responsibility.
• Proven experience leading effective teams and managing organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor improvement cycles based on school performance and district goals.
• Support principals in leadership of schools to promote student engagement and achievement.
• Develop and manage budgets, allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related fiscal activities.
• Perform personnel administrative functions, staffing, and development of department outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Deputy Superintendent, Board of Education, and executive leadership to align district objectives.
• Prepare materials and present information for actions aligned with district objectives.
• Respond to issues involving staff and policies, resolving them per district guidelines.
