Qualifications

• Specialist Degree required.
• Superintendent’s Certification or proof of ability to achieve certification.

Responsabilités

• Executive Officer of the Board of Education: prepare board agendas and packets; attend meetings; serve as liaison to staff; ensure policies and regulations are enforced; inform the Board of major district occurrences and trends; conduct annual audits and recommend improvements; monitor MSIP Standards.
• Chief Financial Officer: prepare budgets; establish controls for expenditures; advise salary considerations; file financial reports; approve expenditures; perform cost studies; prepare and present district reports.
• Personnel & Personnel Issues: recruit staff; verify certification; coordinate recruitment; place staff on salary schedules; notify tenure; advise on termination/continuation; recognize performance; enforce board policies; ensure compliance with state/federal rules.
• School Maintenance: oversee district maintenance; ensure safety of facilities; develop long- and short-term facilities goals.
• Public Relations: maintain community presence; coordinate district communications and annual report; implement community relations plan; liaise with media.
• Chief Records Officers: ensure timely state/federal reports; maintain student and personnel records per FERPA/HIPAA; keep board meeting records; prepare district calendar; maintain curriculum copies; update policy manuals.
• Instructional Leadership: evaluate progress reports; develop improvement plans; evaluate admin staff; ensure curriculum meets standards; ensure teacher evaluation; align course offerings with MSIP; inform the board on educational issues; provide professional development; adhere to district rules.
