Job summary

Springstead High School in Hernando County is seeking a High School Woodwind Technician – Assistant to Director on a supplemental salary schedule. The role supports the band program, oversees marching wind activities, and collaborates with staff to maintain high standards of performance and academics.

The position requires a high school diploma, knowledge of wind instruments, and a commitment to after-school hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of multiple musical instruments.
• Experience participating in a marching band program.
• Willingness to devote time before and after school hours.
• Experience participating in a marching band program (repeated)

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in all practices, games, and competitions.
• Supervise all marching wind activities and rehearsals.
• Advocate for the band program in school and community.
• Aid in the presentation of marching programs at home and away sites.
• Emphasize academic excellence with wind and/or band class.
• Implement program policies and procedures.
• Communicate for facility usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Administrator and/or designee.
