Arkansas-certified teachers with strong knowledge of AP Art History and curriculum development are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Arkansas State Certification as a Teacher of Visual Arts is required or preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience teaching high school visual arts is beneficial.
• Advanced placement training in Art History is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops high school art curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Maintains a safe, conducive environment for individualized instruction.
• Creates lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences.
• Assesses student learning and modifies instruction to fit needs.
• Instructs students in citizenship and other applicable laws and school procedures.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and attendance at seminars/workshops.
• Maintains accurate grading, attendance, and reporting records.
• Communicates effectively with parents and coordinates with staff.
• Supervises students in school-day activities and transports when needed.
• Administers standardized tests in accordance with district programs.
• Participates in faculty meetings and committees.
