Job summary

Northview Public Schools Northview Next Learning Center is seeking an After School Virtual Math Tutor to support non-traditional learners in mastering algebra and other high school math concepts. The role is online, after school hours (3pm–9pm) with flexibility for weekend sessions, up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current Northview Educator preferred.
• Certified secondary math teacher or equivalent experience in secondary math curriculum and intervention strategies.
• Experience with at-risk high school math students preferred.
• Familiarity with competency-based education and online learning platforms.
• Understanding MTSS or tiered academic intervention frameworks for secondary students.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible, small-group or 1-on-1 synchronous and asynchronous math support.
• Design and implement supplemental math activities to support online coursework and assessments.
• Monitor student engagement and adjust support strategies for progress toward credit completion.
• Navigate the three-tier math intervention framework and connect students to 24/7 digital tutoring (Tier 1), staff-guided learning (Tier 2), and targeted synchronous instruction (Tier 3).
