Responsibilities include planning practices, scheduling games, monitoring academics, and promoting sportsmanship. Must pass background check, have First Aid/CPR, and be available evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at the high school level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of softball techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their potential.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background check as required by the school district.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the season.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective practice plans and strategies to enhance team performance.
• Conduct daily practices focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Organize and manage all aspects of the varsity softball program, including scheduling games and practices.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and commitment.
• Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team progress and expectations.
• Monitor student-athlete academic performance and promote a balance between athletics and education.
• Collaborate with assistant coaches and support staff to ensure a cohesive coaching approach.
• Scout and evaluate opposing teams to prepare for competitions.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, district regulations, and league rules.
• Participate in fundraising and community engagement activities to support the softball program.
