Job summary

Collegium Charter School is seeking a qualified Varsity Boys Baseball Coach for the High School level on a seasonal, part-time basis. The coach will lead daily practices, oversee skill development, and mentor student-athletes within the school’s inclusive community.

Qualifications

• High school or collegiate playing experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A positive student-centered approach to coaching.
• Strong character with a team-oriented spirit and ability to connect with a diverse student body.
• Considerable knowledge of and experience coaching, including practices and competitions.
• Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Experience working with middle and high school students.
• Commitment to Collegium Charter School's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Observe the rules of the governing associations (PIAA, District 1, BAL).
• Provide leadership and team management in daily practice, skills, and character development.
• Stay current with coaching theories and techniques.
• Attend coaches' meetings and collaborate with athletic staff and student manager.
• Maintain relationships with coaches, athletic staff, students, parents, and the community.
• Evaluate players and select team rosters.
• Manage team equipment and scorebooks.
• Communicate with student-athletes and parents regularly.
• Ensure transportation, injuries, and procedures follow school policy.
• Abide by the CCS Employee Manual and PA Public School guidelines.
