Position Title: High School Trap Shooting Coach
Reports To: High School Athletic Director
Summary: Responsible for building a positive program through coaching and providing direction to student-athletes, organizing and running practices, coaching all scheduled contests, maintaining equipment, and overseeing the program.
Interpersonal Skills
Must possess strong, positive interpersonal skills including communication, ability to work with a wide demographic, including parents, students, assistant coaches, community members, and district personnel.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to problem-solve and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in varied situations.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand, move and walk at a brisk pace, sit, and use hands and arms to handle, feel and reach. The ability to accompany students anywhere on school premises. The employee is asked to run or jog, to demonstrate athletic moves on the mat and to maintain a high level of energy. Regular attendance on the job is expected and necessary.
Contract terms covering compensation, benefits, and working conditions are specified by the Board of Education’s policies, agreements and approvals. This is a seasonal position.
