General Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the school principal, plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students. Create an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students to ensure success for every individual. Supervise students in various school-related settings, monitor and evaluate student outcomes, and communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the community. Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet all students' needs. Maintain records and follow required procedures. Oversee the proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.

Education and Experience:

• Possess at least a bachelor's degree.
• Meet the Virginia Department of Education requirements to hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in the relevant area.
• Experience in computer technology is preferred; willingness to pursue technology training is required if not already proficient.

Physical Requirements:

• Effective communication skills through the use of the telephone and personal contact, including the ability to see, read, talk, hear, and handle objects.
• Physical capability to operate office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, fax machines, and projection devices.
• Ability to engage in activities like climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions.
