Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a dedicated swim instructor for Northeastern High School to teach swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety to students of varying abilities. The role includes supervising students, planning progressive lessons, and maintaining safety and cleanliness of the pool area.

Qualifications include 3–5 years of swim instruction experience and certifications in CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding, and swim instruction. Additional school-board accepted credentials are welcome.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a swim instructor

• Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety protocols
• Other education/experience as accepted by the school board and administration

Responsibilities

• Teaching swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety to students of varying abilities.
• Assisting more experienced swimmers to enhance their abilities.
• Assessing progress and adjusting teaching programs accordingly.
• Monitoring students to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Implementing ground rules for each swim session.
• Planning lessons considering students' abilities and progression.
• Identifying incorrect techniques and correcting students.
• Ensuring pool and locker rooms are kept clean.
