Job Title: Student Summer Intern
Location: As Assigned by OPS Administration
Reports To: Summer School Principal
Work Schedule/FLSA Status: Part-time, Temporary, Non-exempt, Maximum of 30 hours/week during identified summer school dates
Salary Schedule: This is a non-negotiated position. Wages are administered consistent with board policy.
Seniors graduating this spring will be eligible for an hourly rate of $17.00 per hour as they are no longer considered current high school students.
Position Purpose: The Student Summer Intern for the Omaha Public Schools (OPS) will provide teaching assistance to elementary age students. This individual will work under the direction of the classroom teacher to provide one to one and small group tutoring and assistance in the classroom. The intern will carry out classroom and instructional duties to support student learning and growth.
