Job summary

Washtenaw ISD is seeking a Strength & Conditioning Coach to work with Skyline High School athletes. The role emphasizes safety, skill development, and collaboration with coaching staff, parents, and school personnel. The selected candidate will support conditioning programs and attend relevant clinics.

The position is non-contractual hourly, with duties aligned to athletic department goals and district policies; reporting to the Athletic Director and working on-site at Skyline High School.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Public speaking to groups of students and staff.
• Ability to work with coaches and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Complies with MHSSA policies and district policies.
• Maintains consistent communication with Athletic Director.
• Develop positive self image with athletics.
• Attends clinics/workshops related to sport.
• Utilize sound teaching methods to develop skills/techniques.
• Demonstrate public support/loyalty for coaches.
• Demonstrate positive team sportsmanship toward opponents and officials.
• Demonstrates effective management of pre-contest details.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
