Job summary

Albemarle County Public Schools is seeking a certified athletic trainer to support ACPS athletic events in Charlottesville, Virginia. This full-time, 12-month position focuses on prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play for student-athletes.

The trainer will conduct on-field assessments, coordinate with physicians and parents, maintain the Athletic Training Room, and provide education on injuries and conditioning.

Qualifications

• Certified athletic trainer eligible for Virginia licensure (BOC Certified).
• Two years of athletic training experience preferred, but not required.
• Must communicate with students, staff, and families professionally.

Responsibilities

• Attends games and practices and provides medical care as needed.
• Coordinates return-to-activity and rehabilitation plans.
• Maintains Athletic Training Room and inventory.
• Communicates with physicians, parents, and coaches regarding injury status.
