Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education required.
• RIDE Certification for SPED Grades 6-12 required or eligible.
• Ability to implement IEPs and progress monitoring.
• Experience collaborating with general education teachers in a co-teaching model.
• Knowledge of Rhode Island standards and RI Reading Act expectations.

Responsibilities

• Administer district curriculum aligned with RI State Standards.
• Provide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and paraprofessionals in a co-teaching model.
• Develop and implement IEPs within regulatory timelines.
• Complete progress reports under RI Regulations and track goals.
• Ensure access to free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.
• Conduct and schedule three-year re-evaluations as required.
• Integrate technology and provide RTI interventions.
