Job summary

TheraPeds Partners seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a full-time, school-based role in Appleton, Wisconsin. This on-site position involves IEP development, case management, evaluations, and collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include individualized instruction, progress monitoring, preparing reports, and ensuring IDEA compliance. The role offers guaranteed hours and support from both the district and TheraPeds Partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Current or eligible Wisconsin SPED teaching certification.
• State authorization to provide SPED services in Wisconsin.
• One+ year school experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide individualized instruction tailored to each student.
• Manage assigned caseloads and coordinate SPED services.
• Conduct assessments and participate in evaluations as needed.
• Monitor progress and collect data toward IEP goals.
• Document student progress and maintain records accurately.
• Participate in IEP, eligibility, multidisciplinary, and student-support meetings.
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and related services.
• Support accommodations and specialized instructional strategies across environments.
• Create a welcoming, safe, structured learning environment.
