Meridian Charter Schools is seeking a High School Special Education Teacher (SPED) in Chicago, IL. This full-time, 10-month position requires delivering standards-aligned instruction to SPED students at the high school level within Meridian’s inclusive learning environment.

Qualified candidates hold an active PEL for grades 6-12 or 9-12 with an LBS1 Endorsement; ELL endorsement preferred. Bachelor's is required, Master’s preferred.

Formación

• Active PEL in grades 6-12 or 9-12 and an LBS1 Endorsement.
• ELL Endorsement preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience writing and managing IEPs is strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Teach high school content and skills using district curriculum and approved materials.
• Develop lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Create engaging, standards-aligned lessons and assessments.
• Maintain attendance records and gradebooks in accordance with policies.
• Collaborate with SPED team and staff to support student progress.
• Engage families and communicate student progress and needs.
