High School Special Education Teacher near Forest Lake, MN

Come work with a woman- and therapist-run company! Ampersand Therapy is seeking to elevate the employment experience of working in schools. We are looking for Special Education Teachers in the Forest Lake, MN area for the 2025-2026 school year.

Position Details:

  • Onsite High School Special Education Teacher
  • ASD teacher (Federal setting 1 & 2)
  • In-person, full-time position (37.5 hours/week)
  • Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Caseload: 18-25 students (no IEP writing or evaluations)

Responsibilities include working with the Special Education Team to implement accommodations, interventions, etc., according to student IEPs, and creating a welcoming, safe, and meaningful environment for students with moderate to significant disabilities. You will also attend staff and IEP meetings and coordinate with school teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in education or related field
  • Valid MN teaching license in a special education field
  • Experience teaching school-age students

Rates are $45-62/hr. Waiting periods for benefits apply for 0.8 FTE or higher.
