Job summary

Meridian Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated High School Special Education Teacher to deliver standards-aligned instruction to diverse learners at our Chicago campuses. You will collaborate with the Special Education Team to implement IEPs, differentiate instruction, and monitor student progress, while upholding school policies and DEI principles.

Qualifications

• Active PEL in grades 6-12 or 9-12 and an LBS1 Endorsement required.
• ELL Endorsement preferred.
• Experience writing and managing IEPs strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate standards-aligned instruction for students with diverse needs.
• Collaborate with Special Education Team to implement IEPs and inclusive practices.
• Maintain accurate attendance, gradebook, and progress reports.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

Master's Degree preferred
