Elmwood Park Board of Education School District is seeking an Anticipated High School Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs, implement district-approved curricula, document progress, and provide feedback to parents and administration.

You will create engaging lessons, assess student performance, and ensure a safe classroom environment while collaborating with staff and attending meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy.
• Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
• Ability to use data information systems and analyzing progress.
• Familiarity with federal and state education laws.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work.

Responsabilités

• Develops and administers curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Creates safe, conducive learning environments for individual and small-group instruction.
• Prepares lesson plans and instructional materials to maximize learning time.
• Assesses student progress and adapts instruction to student needs.
• Communicates with parents and administration regarding progress and goals.
