Job summary

Elmwood Park Community Unit School District 401 is seeking a Self-Contained Special Education Teacher for a High School ACE program at Elmwood Park High School. The educator will develop students' literacy and communication skills under the supervision of the building principal and align instruction with IEP goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with trans-disciplinary teams, regular parent communication, and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• PEL and LBS I certifications required.
• Experience with self-contained ACE program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare by developing schedules and weekly instruction plans.
• Implement core curriculum per IEP and student needs.
• Maintain data to measure progress and adjust instructional outcomes.
• Engage in eligibility, annual review and progress review IEP meetings.
• Communicate with families and participate in meetings as scheduled.
• Uphold confidentiality and maintain required records.
