Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• New York State Certification in Special Education, Teaching Students with Disabilities 5-9 or 7-12.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high academic standards are set for and met by all students.
• Collaborate with General Education co‑teachers to co‑instruct and provide standards‑based learning to students with IEPs and whole classes.
• Prepare students for high‑stakes tests, including the Regents.
• Execute rigorous, small‑group instruction based on individual needs of students (as needed).
• Differentiate curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of students with IEPs.
• Use student performance data to drive instructional decision‑making and IEP development.
• Design and implement high‑quality IEPs with clear learning goals and criteria.
• Serve as case manager for at least 2 students receiving special education services.
